... I do not like those big ferries that cross oceans. The noise of these machines everywhere, the smell of humidity, vomit and cooked food together, and the way they sail. But, I was not sick, I did not vomit.
Anyway, it is quite better to sail in a 10 meters sailling boat...
The 31st of May, Stromness, Orkney Islands:
The weather was good and i spent a night in the Youth Hostel of this little fishing town, went to eat in a restaurant and appreciated the food.
The 1st of June:
I rent a bicycle and rided it on the west cost of the mainland; passing through those beautifull places: Yesnaby - Bay of Skaill and its village old of 5000 years - Sandgeo and its fishermen s huts - Marwick Head, its cliff and its inhabitants, birds (...) but no one Puffins (Macareux).
I slept in Sandgeo s front see in my tent. It was a good rainy and windy night, like was the day before.
The 2nd of June:
I am ill ! A big headache (like usual) and sick as well. It is still raining and windy, even worst than the day before and I deside to go back to Stromness, which is at 25 km away. Everything is humid. Ridding a bike under the rain and the wind, when the temperature is only at around 15 degres, and when you are ill, what a nightmare !!!
Aspire and dodo to the Stromness s youth hostel. Sleep 13 hours.
The 3rd of June:
Feel better and went for a hike near Stromness. The weather is a bit better. Lots of seals. Good day.
And then, on the 4th of June, back to Edinburgh. (the weather is perfect, no cloud)
